Your day to day:
As a 2nd line Network Operation Engineer you will be in charge of O&M activities on the VF-IP “OfficeLan” and VF CORE IP network
You will collaborate with the team in incident troubleshooting, problem resolution and implementation of the new projects and services.
You will implement all software and applications needed for the analysis of the network as well as the patches and work-arounds to amend faulty configurations.
You will provide end-to-end and 2nd level of operation support in order to resolve complex (technical) service and hardware faults on the network and to liaise with technical solution teams in the vendor and engineering community, acting as an internal expert.

- Develop software solutions for automating delivery and troubleshoot of the network.
- Develop scripting solution to sustain task automation and auto-resolution of potential outages
- Modify and adjust scripts/software solution according to latest changes on the network architecture
- Achieving the SLA targets for the services managed by the Office Lan team.
- Minimize the impact of changes on service continuity.
- Ensure the agreed timeline in the delivery of new projects.
- Ensure the implementation and support of the security baselines
- Ensure 7x24h support to the internal customers during on-duty shifts.
- Regular support for night shifts
- 24/7 on-call duty for 2nd Level activities
- Operational lifecycle tasks of IP-Core and Access-networks
- Standard request fulfilments
- Incident & Problem Mgmt. tasks on system level
- Implement CORE IP Projects tasks for designated area in strong collaboration with engineering department
- Responsibility for availability of network devices
- Walkthroughs & Health checks for IP-Core and IP Access NEs (Network Elements)
- Find potential for automation tasks in daily work
- Provides real-time technical support at expert level on complex major incidents, restoring network elements and services to normal operation;
With these skills you are a great candidate:
- Ability to adjust scripts/automation solution to support troubleshooting on IP network
- Ability to debug Software solution used for mitigation and auto-mitigation of incidents, applications ( L7 ) network issue by tracing analysis ( Wireshark)
- Ability to manage complex troubleshooting on IP multivendor network.
- Deep knowledge of the networking Protocols, standards and security solutions
- At least 3 years experience in managing IP Lan and IP CORE network in large organization.
- German language beginner level, English advanced level
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
- Cisco CCNA/CCNP certification or equivalent
- JNCIA Junos/ JNCIA-SEC certification or equivalent
- Scripting
- Proven multi-years experience in the following technologies:
- Cisco IOS-XE/NX-OS/IOS-XR
- Cisco R&S families ( ASR,Cat,ISR,Nexus,etc)
- Cisco Firepower/ASA firewall
- Cisco Security ISE infrastructure
- Cisco wi-fi solutions
- Juniper JunOS
- Juniper SRX Firewalls
- Forti-OS
- Fortinet Proxy appliances / Fortimanager architecture
- Infoblox DNS/DHCP servers
- AntiDDoS ( Arbor / Radware) and Deep Packet Inspection (- DPI ( allot) platforms
- Unix/Linux and CentOs Server knowledge
- Strong knowledge and experience in operating CISCO ACI
- Anti- Sabotage prevention rule will be required to fulfil
