We are a young international company headquartered in Vienna, with subsidiaries in Sweden and Hong Kong.

As the Head of Accounting, Controlling & Tax in our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, supporting financial reporting processes, collaborating with external partners, and developing accounting processes and controls. Your mission will be to prepare the company for future debt and equity financing transactions.


Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with local accounting standards on a monthly basis and with international financial reporting standards (IFRS) on a quarterly basis.
  • Reconciliation of Global Clearing Accounts: Reconciling global intercompany transactions on a biweekly basis, ensuring accuracy and transparency in financial reporting and compliance with transfer pricing regulations. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or variances promptly.
  • Collaboration with BDO and KPMG: Work closely with outsourced bookkeeping partner BDO to support the delivery of managed accounts for the group according to IFRS. Collaborate with auditor KPMG to facilitate the completion of the annual audit within three months after year-end.
  • Develop accounting system: Build and continuously improve internal accounting and control systems for all companies within the group. Implement best practices and leverage technology solutions where applicable.
  • Preparation of tax filings: Together with the tax representative, you are responsible for the preparation of the annual financial statements according to local and international accounting standards, both as individual financial statements and as consolidated financial statements. In addition, you will work closely with the tax representation on the proper preparation and filing of tax returns and the preparation of tax issues

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance from a reputable university or college.
  • Min 2 years of relevant work experience in a leading accounting firm
  • Proven experience as an Accountant in an international environment.
  • Excellent understanding of business administration
  • Excellent accounting knowledge of Austrian UGB
  • IFRS basic knowledge
  • Basic knowledge of national and international corporate tax law
  • Experience in setting up processes and project documentation
  • Experience with intercompany transactions (transfer pricing)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Business fluent in German and English
  • Hands-on mentality with pragmatic solution-finding skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced MS Excel skills.

Preferred:

  • Professional certification such as CPA or ACCA is highly desirable.
  • Experience with Project Management software
  • Affinity to Crypto
  • BMD NTCS knowledge
