As the Operations Manager at Modern Hedge, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and driving the success of our hedge trimming business. You will be responsible for leading and managing our operations to ensure efficient team and exceptional customer experience and driving strong financial performance. Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the team, aligning business objectives with organisational goals and KPIs.
  • Develop and execute effective business strategies to drive growth, profitability, and team culture.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient delivery of hedge trimming & gardening services and maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Implement and improve operational processes, systems, and policies to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Ensure accurate and optimised scheduling of jobs for the team
  • Lead and mentor a team of employees, fostering a positive work environment and promoting professional development.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and industry stakeholders
  • Continue to lead a high performing team and drive regular performance feedback
  • Analyse financial performance, support the invoicing process, prepare budgets, and manage team members effectively to achieve financial targets
  • Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and regulatory requirements in all aspects of the business.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities, making recommendations for continuous improvement and staying ahead of market changes.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a managerial role, preferably in the trade services industry or a related field.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team towards achieving common goals.
  • Excellent business acumen and strategic thinking, with a track record of driving growth and profitability.
  • Solid understanding of operational processes, systems, and best practices in the trade services sector.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
  • Proficiency in financial management and commercial acumen.
  • Experience in Xero and ServiceM8 a benefit.
  • Trade services business experience a benefit.

Part time with the view for full time option available.
