Europex is a Brussels-based not-for-profit association of European energy exchanges and delegated operators with currently 34 members. It represents the interests of exchange-based wholesale electricity, gas and environmental markets, focuses on developments of the European regulatory framework for wholesale energy trading and provides a discussion platform at European level.

OVERVIEW

The successful candidate will work on a full-time basis in the Europex Secretariat in Brussels. She/he will directly report to the Secretary General and support the functioning of the Secretariat, including administrative duties, event coordination and communicating with members, stakeholders and press.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

  • Managing the day-to-day affairs of the office, including preparing meeting rooms, ordering office supplies, making travel arrangements, accounting, handling external contractors and various other administrative tasks;
  • Managing communications with members to update relevant information, inform of activities and assist with administrative queries;
  • Supporting internal and external events for both virtual and in-person formats;
  • Assisting in drafting/editing press releases and position papers for publication on the association’s website, including creating PowerPoint presentations, social media posts and other visual materials;

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Full proficiency in English is required. French, Dutch or German language skills are a plus;
  • Previous work experience in administrative positions;
  • Experience with relevant tools, such as: Microsoft Suite applications, Canva, WordPress, Online conferencing programmes (Microsoft Teams, Zoom, WebEx, etc.) and MailChimp.
  • Experience with event coordination and planning;
  • Independent work style and attention to detail;
  • Ability to work in a multinational and multicultural professional environment.
