Our new Texas workshop is seeking a Supply Chain Engineer, to join our growing team. As a pivotal member of the Supply Chain and Logistics (SC&L) team, reporting to the SC&L Director, you will be responsible for implementing and improving processes and flows, particularly in the warehouse department. In this role, you will implement KPI’s and design dashboards to track performance and identify issues across the Supply Chain. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Define and optimize the warehouse layout.
  • Optimize storage surfaces and locations by working with the Purchasing team to deplete obsolete/low running inventory.
  • Improve the logistics processes (receiving, put away, picking, preparations, packing, shipping).
  • Lead Kaizen events within the Supply Chain team (planning, purchasing, etc.).
  • Benchmark and stay up to date on warehousing technology and process updates.
  • Build and optimize management tools (excel files, self-control sheets, workstation sheets, etc.).
  • Ensure the maintenance of organizational schemes for the logistics activity of the workshops (rules, operating procedures, job descriptions, etc.)
  • To be an active member of the new strategic SAP project implementation

PROFIL

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management; Operations Management or Industrial Engineering with a focus on Supply Chain. APICS certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a large-scale manufacturing or logistics environment
  • Proven knowledge of concepts in relation to work measurement and the economy of motion including labor utilization. Workflow and layout process improvement and standardization
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and tools (Value Stream Mapping, reducing waste, etc.)
  • Ability to effectively present information to Sr. Management and other internal and external groups
  • Microsoft Office suite with high proficiency in Excel; experience with Power BI/Tableau is a plus.
  • Excellent understanding of ERP & MRP systems. JDE and SAP experience is highly desired.
  • Bilingual skills in Spanish and/or French is a plus.
