Summary
Thompson Palm Springs is now recruiting an IT Manager to join the hotel’s pre-opening team.
Slated to open in late 2023, Thompson Palm Springs is poised to become the desert’s most exciting destination tailored for influential locals and sophisticated globetrotters alike. Situated at the heart of the city’s iconic Palm Canyon Drive, the hotel will offer a collection of 168 bungalow-inspired guest rooms and suites coupled with our total event space of 8,000 square feet plus additional outdoor and unique spaces. Thompson Palm Springs will also house its own mainstay dining concept that will feed into the menus at two bespoke pools and accompanying lounges. an impressive array of ground-level retail space spanning over 20,000-square-feet, guests will also have access to a state-of-the-art fitness center and a first-of-its-kind tasting room from HALL Napa Valley, with additional tenants to follow.
The Information Technology Manager is responsible for maintaining current systems, upgrading future systems, maintaining inventories, conducting on-site training to promote efficient operations and answer questions to avoid or resolve systems-related problems, establish policies and procedures, purchase operating equipment, budgeting computer related items, and maintain relationships with corporate office and Hyatt technology support team. Work also involves conferring with programmers, application experts and computer operators in order to exchange information and resolve problems regarding daily operation of various applications systems, report generation, system enhancements, system failures and related issues.
Successful candidates will have strong leadership, professionalism, interpersonal and communication skills and a minimum of two years with WAN/LAN infrastructure and property management systems.
Salary is $75,000 - $88,000 annually. This is the pay rate for this position that Thompsom Palm Springs reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors including experience, and education.
Qualifications
- Prefer candidate with 5+ years of IT Manager, IT help desk or similar support experience
- Open weekday availability and ability to work weekends when necessary
- Experience in dealing with multiple guests, hotel associates, and management
- Ideal candidate would have previous hotel IT experience
- Proficient in network management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
