Empire Communications is currently looking to add FTTP cable pullers to our team. As we're looking for at least one more crew, we'd be happy to bring on crews that already know they work well together. This will be a self-employed position through the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS).
In your role you will be responsible for:
- TRR
- Installing subducts
- Installing 7ways/BMD micro ducts
- Installing gel wraps
- Blowing Fibre using a fibre-blowing machine
- Filling out A55’s for blockages
- Using provided BT maps to know where the work needs to be done
- Following all health and safety procedures
- Updating the system to show what work has been completed
You will have the following qualifications and be able to prove experience and competence:
- Must have held a full UK driving licence for at least 12 months, with no more than three points held over the last five years.
- Hold valid NRSWA - Unit 2 Signing, Lighting and Guarding
- Hold valid SA002
- Risk assessment and hazard identification and a strong focus on Health and Safety practices.
- Experience in FTTP
- OH experience is a bonus
- Be comfortable working outside in all weather
- Be comfortable working in the overhead and underground networks
The following qualifications are not necessary but are advantageous:
- Hold the Network Operators Passport Scheme Card “NOPS”
- Hold valid SA001
